Raising the Elusive Titanic with Dauerflora
For its Cruise Ship Interiors Expo booth, Innovation Lounges wanted to show that the energy, passion and dedication we bring to everything we do at ILM, is tantamount to raising the Titanic. We make it happen. Luckily, Maro Ronan, eleven year old son of ILM’s TIMØ Ronan, had already started working on building the LEGO Titanic, LEGO’s largest set comprised of 9090 pieces. It’s also impossible to find as a limited edition collectible.

The Titanic build was only 85% complete when we decided to make it part of our booth, not leaving much time to finish. The last pieces were put on at the Miami Beach Convention Center but we got it done. Because that’s what we do. We also wanted to show LEGO some love. They installed a LEGO display in the Innovation Lounges Fabric Room and keep it stocked to gift ILM clients, members and special guests.

Dauerflora is a greenery design company located in Hamburg, Germany and Dania Beach, Florida. They design both artificial and real ecological displays. Mostly focused in the hospitality industry, Dauerflora works alongside venues, hotels, and cruises to bring a touch of nature to their spaces. As an Innovation Lounges Brand Member, their contribution to the ILM CSI booth helped to create a very unique and creative piece in the Innovation Lounges Cruise Ship Interiors 2022 booth.

The Titanic against Dauerflora’s green wall felt so powerful on its own that it got a stage of its own. Taking it down came with a tear or two. The wall is a standing monument to support, teamwork, and creativity. It and its contents could not have been completed or displayed so successfully without the combined creative efforts of Dauerflora and the ILM Team.
